The Lord Jesus Christ

His Birth:

This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about.  His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit.  Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.  She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."  Matthew 1:18-21

His Baptism:

Then Jesus came from Galilee to Jordan to be baptized by John.  But John tried to deter him, saying, “I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?”  Jesus replied, “let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness….As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water.  At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him.  And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”  Matthew 3:13-17

His Miracles:

When Jesus came into Peter’s house, he saw Peter’s mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever.  He touched her hand and the fever left her….When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to him and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick.  This was to fulfil what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah:  “He took up our infirmities and carried our diseases”.  Matthew 8:14-17

His Death:

They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him, and then wove a crown of thorns and set it on his head.  They put a staff in his right hand and knelt in front of him and mocked him.  “Hail, King of the Jews!” they said.  They spit on him, and took the staff and struck him on the head again and again.  After they had mocked him, they took off the robe and put his clothes on him.  Then they led him away to crucify him….When they had crucified him, they divided up his clothes by casting lots….Above his head they placed the written charge against him:  THIS IS JESUS, THE KING OF THE JEWS.  Matthew 27:28-37

His Resurrection:

The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.  He is not here; he has risen, just as he said."  Matthew 28: 5,6

His Commission:

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I will be with you always, to the very end of the age.  Matthew 28: 18-20

Evan and Donna Morgan

Evan and Donna, who were married in 1967, have worked together as a team in both business and ministry for more than thirty years.   Since 1994, they have been experiencing revival and renewal in their spirits.  This has developed in them a passion to see healing come to their own nation as well as the nations of the world!

After selling their insurance business in 1999, they were called to do an incredible journey.  In 2001, Evan walked the entire distance across Canada from Victoria, British Columbia, to St. John’s, Newfoundland (see www.cupofcoldwater.org).   Publicly, this was a charity walk to raise awareness and funds for digging water wells in the impoverished nation of Haiti.  Privately it was a prayer walk to intercede for revival in the nation of Canada!

In 1997, the Morgans opened Prayer Mountain Retreat, an interdenominational Christian Retreat Centre near Moncton, New Brunswick.   This property is set apart to be a place of rest and renewal for believers of all denominations.   Their hearts are to see unity in the Body of Christ and the fulfilment of the prayer of Jesus in John 17.

Evan and Donna are blessed with two wonderful children who, with their spouses, have given them four precious grandchildren.

Rosemary Quinton

Rosemary is a passionate lover of God.  During her childhood years, she had a desire to know God but it was not until 1992 that she came into a relationship with Jesus Christ.  Her personal testimony demonstrates God's extraordinary mercy and grace leading us through our valley of human weakness.  Immediately after her conversion, Rosemary became an intercessor for "the people she loved" and began to see salvations and healings as her prayers were answered.

Rosemary has travelled as an intercessor to other countries.  She went with mission teams to both Haiti and the Virgin Islands to intercede for the nations.  In 1998, Rosemary attended Grace Training Centre in Kansas City.  After nine months she graduated with a cerficate in Worship Ministry.  This was at the time when Mike Bickle's "International House of Prayer" was just beginning.  Rosemary has been anxiously awaiting the birthing of the 24/7 "harp and bowl" experience of worship and intercession in our region and knows that the time is "now"!  Rosemary is ordained with the Fellowship of Christians.  She and her husband, Jon, live in Bedford, Nova Scotia, and attend Gateway Community Church.

Grace Wiebe

Grace was born and raised in a Christian home in rural Saskatchewan. She has always desired to serve God and after Bible College, she went overseas and served the Lord for a short time in Asia. This was the beginning of what would eventually become full time work here in Canada. In 1991, God called Grace to Nova Scotia to help with a church plant in Lower Sackville. She originally expected that this would be a one or two year commitment, but it has continued for seventeen years.

In 1998 God led Grace to become involved with “Watchmen for the Nations.” This was the beginning of joining with people from across Canada to pray, seek His face, and pray for God’s glory to come. It was at this time that God was deepening in her heart Canada's call to become a healing to the nations.

In the fall of 2006, Grace believed that God was shifting her focus and that now she was to invest more time in praying for her city, Halifax. From June 2007, God has allowed her to coordinate the Halifax House of Prayer. Her desire is that as we enter God’s presence through prayer and worship, we would be changed and then we can change our cities, our provinces, and our nation!

Susan Hebert

Susan was born in the city of Halifax, fourth in a family of eight children. From her early childhood, she had a love for God. At the age of twenty-four, she came to know Jesus Christ personally after hearing the salvation message from a neighbor. Susan immediately had a desire to pray and grew in intimacy with the Lord.

Over the years, Susan has come to know Jesus as her Restorer, Deliverer, and Healer -- both physically and emotionally. She has served in prison ministry in both Texas and Oklahoma. In 1999, Susan returned to Halifax. Since then, she has joined with other believers throughout HRM in a variety of prayer initiatives. Currently, Susan coordinates the Dartmouth House of Prayer. Susan and her husband, Marc, attend new Covenant Ministries in Dartmouth and live in HRM near their children and grandson.
